Alpine Public School was raised by Major Rajender Singh Jamnal (Retd) on 20 May 2003 at the Bhatwari Road Location. The school was forced to close down due to the Varnavat landslide in Sep 2003. The school shifted to the present campus on 20 April 2004. Making a modest beginning with 32 students and three teachers and three staff members. The school grew in strength and soon became a premier institution in Uttarkashi .
Our school is divided into four houses named after for gallant sons of the soil who have been awarded the highest Gallantary awards for their Bravery and leadership in the face of the enemy.These houses are Sqn Ldr Nirmal Singh Sekhon House(Red ), Major Somnath House(Green), Cdr Arvind Singh House(Blue) and CQMH Abdul Hameed House(Yellow). The Moto of our school is “Virtus et Labour” which means (Character and Hard Work).We believe that a strong academic foundation is complemented by a rich extracurricular program.
